It’s Day 3 for the List and Grow Challenge! Day THREE! On Day 1, you set your spiritual goals. Stick to them! If you haven’t been, it’s okay! Today is a NEW day! You can start over. Pray and ask God to keep you on track. On Day 2, you listed the reasons why you read the Bible. Now, today it’s time to list the verses in the Bible that comfort you.
Today my list is for the minimalists. I didn’t do any decorating except for the heart in the right corner. Throughout this challenge, you don’t have to make your lists extravagant. You can still learn, list, and grow without spending 15 minutes on decorating only.
My verses are:
Joshua 1:5-9, where God tells Joshua to be strong and courageous, because He is with him.
2 Chronicles 7:14, where God promises Solomon that if His people humble themselves, pray, and turn from their wicked ways, He will hear them and heal their land.
Matthew 6:25-34, where Jesus tells His people not to be anxious, but prayand leave our needs in God’s hands.
James 1:5-8, where James tells us that God promises wisdom for anyone who asks, and He gives it freely, without prompting any guilt.
And lastly, Revelation 5:20 where Jesus tells us that He stands at the door and knocks, and if we hear His voice and let Him in, He will come in and stay
I love all of these verses because they remind me of how good and merciful God is, and how much He loves and cares for us. What about you? What are the verses that comfort you? Please share. It’s always good to share comfort. We all need it! You can either comment below of tag your pictures with #listandgrow on Instagram. 🙂
FYI- This will be the last post until we finish the last day. I’m going to take a little time to embrace the challenge myself, and really spend time thinking about my answers.
